Over the past couple of years, I've become increasingly attuned to the moon and its impact on my physical and mental energy. Maybe that's living in LA (the land of all things mystical) or maybe it's living up to my name (Phoebe is one of the Greek goddesses of the moon), but I truly believe in using the lunar cycle as a framework for personal development and wellbeing - especially as a woman. The moon controls the tides and the average adult human body is 50-65% water... It seems impossible that these facts have no bearing on each other.

Today - May 4th, 2015 - is a Full Moon in Scorpio (which also happens to be my sign). The Full Moon is believed to be a good time for purging the possessions and habits that no longer serve us, and using our increased creative energy to manifest new ideas. The influence of Scorpio means that this is also the day for embracing discomfort, intensity, and transition. Even if you entirely eschew astrology - and I know lots of people who do - the lunar phases can provide a useful benchmark for marking personal and professional development.

Below is a chart I found on how the moon phases can impact our work rhythms. Embrace it wholeheartedly or take it with a massive pinch of salt - either way, it might be useful in thinking about your game plan for the working month ahead.
