A space for working women worldwide.

A big thank you to everyone who came out to the The WW Club 'Making It Work: Los Angeles' event at Ace Hotel Downtown LA yesterday - a wonderful day, and the perfect launch for the Making It Work tour.

We kickstarted the day in conversation with Ann Friedman, Jayne Min, Samantha Duenas, and Jacqueline Schneider, who talked S Corps, Tuesday brunches, networking, hiking, admin days, and lots of other aspects of life as a creative working woman in Los Angeles - as well as offering many, many laughs. Stay tuned for a full recording of the talk, coming soon.

After that, it was Work Party Deluxe - a full rooftop packed with women in the music, fashion, media, film, and wellness industries, all making it work under the LA sun. Poolside, The WW Club Pop-Up shop offered wares from Venice Beach-based biz LustCovetDesire, energy sprays and raw chocolate bars from newly-founded Laurel Canyon wellness brand TREEHOUSE, artwork by Kilo Kish, and a handful of copies of The Handbook For Women Who Do Creative Work by yours truly.

From 3pm onwards, the 15 Minute Mentors were in session. Ladies lined up for one-on-one career advice courtesy of food and travel photographer Natalie James, screenwriter Camilla Blackett, and Soulection's Director of Communications, Jacqueline Schneider. For those looking for a little bit of afternoon respite, Addie of Simply Genius Massages was on hand to help work through all those stress-induced knots.

The day rounded out with Cocktail Hour by the Ace hotel pool. Sounds came courtesy of DJ Tierney and SoSuperSam, frozen banana cocktails were drunk, and the day ended on a suitably...high-spirited note. No point working hard if you can't play hard, too.

Stay tuned for news of forthcoming Making It Work events in New York and London, coming very soon!
